Tayla Dionne Reddick is a woman that everyone is watching! She’s taking the skin care world by storm. And she’s doing so unapologetically. Her business, Body Essence by Dionne, is a all natural skin care product line that she makes by hand. This business has definitely has taken on a life of its own! We got to catch up with busy business owner, and here is what she had to say.
Please introduce yourself.
Dionne: Well, I am a family oriented person. Family is everything to me. I am a woman of deep conviction. I live by faith. I am a woman that believes in the power of education. I was taught at an early age that I can do whatever I put my mind AND efforts into, it can be achieved.
Why are you so passionate about helping others?
Dionne: I am passionate about helping others because I have always had a great support system that has helped me, as well as the fact that I have had others help me as well. Without that help I would not be here, and now I need to give back.
Tell us about your business?
Dionne : I hand make skincare products including but not limited to body butter, sugar scrubs, soaps and more. My skincare products help to heal, repair and prevent skin issues from acne, eczema, psoriasis, hyperpigmentation and so much more.
Where do you see yourself in the next 2 years? 5 years?
Dionne: Within 2 years I see myself having a distribution deal for my business. Within 5 years I see myself having my products in stores nationwide, married with a family and being able to employ family members.
What is the one thing that you know for sure?
Dionne: One thing I know for sure is that I am blessed to be where I am, especially coming from a time when I couldn’t afford to feed my son, faced eviction and even had my car repossessed…but God
How do you handle setbacks?
Dionne: There was a time that I suffered from depression and anxiety. I’ve been in therapy and learned ways to cope and even natural alternatives to deal with stress.
What advice would you give to that person who’s business is no doing so great and wants to give up?
Dionne: Never give up, just regroup and revamp the process and procedures of the business.
