SAN ANTONIO, TX, March 21, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — BRAVE Coalition Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with The Breast Advocate® App, a new cutting edge app that empowers patient self-advocacy and enables patients to have a voice in their own surgical treatment planning. The free app will allow breast cancer patients, survivors, and their family members to learn about all the breast cancer surgery and reconstruction options, share and advocate in personal treatment decision making, and gain support from the Breast Advocate Community. Do you want to be a beta tester? Sign up today at breastadvocateapp.com. Beta testing will start in April.
The Breast Advocate® App is the brain-child of Dr. Chrysopoulo, a board certified plastic surgeon, nationally-recognized breast reconstruction surgeon and microsurgeon, and President of PRMA Plastic Surgery in San Antonio, TX. He has dedicated his professional life to advocating for breast cancer patients. He strongly believes that shared decision making between the physician and patient is crucial in achieving the best outcomes and has built his practice on this philosophy. To empower as many patients as possible to advocate for themselves, Dr. Chrysopoulo created the Breast Advocate App to provide anyone with a breast cancer diagnosis, or at risk of developing breast cancer, a much needed voice in their breast cancer surgery decision making.
Breast Restoration AdVocacy and Education (BRAVE) Coalition Foundation recognized their 5th annual “Brave Day” nationally this year. Brave seeks to empower women through educating them of their rights to reconstruction when diagnosed with Breast Cancer. BRAVE is about restoring the whole woman after the diagnosis, and is one of few charities that focuses on “after the diagnosis.”
