Huntsville, Alabama law firm focuses on helping clients seek positive change

Anne-Marie Lacy handles legal matters involving contested and uncontested divorce, custody modifications, domestic protection orders, and some criminal matters. While serving as city prosecutor for the City of Madison, Alabama, she established the first domestic violence investigation unit in the city. After serving as a prosecutor, she served as the City Attorney for the City of Madison for 11 years.

Anne-Marie Lacy grew up in Birmingham and was the valedictorian of her college class at Samford University. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. She brings extensive legal experience to help people who turn to Leigh Daniel Family Law for assistance with family law matters.

She says the most satisfying part of being a family law attorney is helping clients who are facing major life changes navigate the Alabama family law court system and seek positive changes in their lives.

“We really can make a big difference in people’s lives,” she says. “Whatever is going on with their divorce is the biggest thing in their lives.”

Victoria Waters graduated with the highest honors from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing. She obtained a Juris Doctor from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.

She grew up in Decatur, Alabama, in a family that includes several family law attorneys. “I knew going into law school that I wanted to practice family law,” she says.

In addition to being a licensed attorney, Victoria Waters is getting certification as a guardian ad litem so that she can accept appointments to represent the best interests of minor children in family law cases.

“I’ve always had a heart for helping kids,” she says. “I always feel like kids get the short end of the stick in these cases because they didn’t ask to be put in these situations.”

Mediator Christine Dodd applies her skills in alternative dispute resolution to divorce mediation and mediation in family law matters, civil law, and criminal law. She works to promote dialogue and collaboration between couples going through divorce to bridge conflicts and find workable, creative solutions for family law cases.

Christine Dodd has a bachelor’s in fine arts from Boise State University and a doctor of law degree from the University of Idaho.
